Want to Learn A Little Known Secret Which Can Take Your Great Relationship to the Next Level?

Let me start off by saying, I love my husband!  He is wonderful.

Yet the other day, as he was helping me with a computer glitch (a problem I could not fix alone),  my wonderful husband became angry and impatient. As he spoke, an uncomfortable chill numbed my body.

I Had a Choice to Make…

Did I want to complain and in effect, throw gasoline on the fire… or was the relationship more important than the grievance? I took a deep breath, counted to 10, then…

  • I chose to understand his reason for frustration- (a time crunch, and the stress of giving up other things he needed to be doing… which was causing the irritation and aggressive attitude)
  • I chose to appreciate what he was doing for me.

This is what I said, “I know you have so much to do today… and I want you to know, I really appreciate your helping me with this.”

And guess what… his impatient, pushy tone of voice melted away into nothingness! I mean it literally disappeared without confrontation! AND he was ready to work for as long as it took, to do whatever needed to be done!

This was not manipulation… It was simply giving love, when love was needed most… and this choice, inspired him to slay his own dragon within!

But Let’s Be Honest Here… I’ve Got Some Good News and Some Bad News. Which Do You Want First?

I’ll start with the Bad News: There is no such thing as a prince on a white horse who will always be patient, kind, and supportive… who will always speak gentle, comforting words.

Now for the Good News: Your man is a reflection of your intention… of your view of life itself. Do you intend to find reasons for appreciation… reasons to celebrate? Or do you choose to continue to believing that life is a struggle, that relationships with men are a burden you must bear?

  • Because you set the intention… you have choice.
  • Because you can correct beliefs that no longer serve you… you have power.
  • Choosing healthy perceptions is your way out!

Remember understanding can be an antidote for feeling insulted, invalidated, and insignificant… a cure for your anger and upset. Yet that doesn’t necessarily mean you have to stay. It means you have tools to bring about a better outcome… for reaching personal peace with it all.

Know that it’s OK:

  • To take care of yourself first… to  believe everything is unfolding as it should.
  • To release past thoughts… and live in the present moment.
  • To find understanding… and show appreciation.
  • To allow happiness… and expect love!

I guess it all goes back to the old adage… “Do you want to be right, or do you want to be happy?”

You might be thinking… I need help sorting this all out!
